The 17th International Industrial Trade Fair-2081 BS will be held from May 8. The purpose of the fair to be held in the federal capital is to promote indigenous products.

The Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industry (FNCSI) has been organizing this fair every year for the past several years. This time, the fair will be held at the Bhrikutimandap at the Exhibition Marg in Kathmandu from May 8 to May 12. The fair is being organized with the basic slogans of “Find Nepali, Choose Nepali” and “Let’s use Nepali products, be proud of being a Nepali”.

Umesh Prasad Singh, the president of the Federation, said that the exhibition will reflect the entrepreneurs involved in agriculture business, more than 600,000 domestic and small industries across the country. According to the FNCSI, entrepreneurs, technology users from all provinces and districts of Nepal and also from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other SAARC countries and China will participate in the exhibition.

The exhibition will include the products of all food industries, including micro, cottage and small industries, and will interact on Business to Business  (BtoB), Business to Consumers (BtoC), and Business to Government (BtoG) topics. Also, there will be a cultural program and a food festival.

Organizers estimate that there will be 250 stalls in the exhibition and more than 200,000 visitors will visit the fair. Singh said that it is projected that an economic turnover of more than Rs 70 million will be generated from the fair.
