Kathmandu, July 21: The government has decided to resume domestic as well as international flights starting the coming August 17. A decision to this end was taken by the meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar Monday (July 20).
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation shall determine the special safety and health protocol to operate the said flights, which have remained suspended for over the last four months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to resume the air services in Nepal was taken since some foreign countries have already started to lift the coronavirus restrictions. It is reported that the ministry is making preparations to allow the aerial flights from such countries to enter Nepal.
