For me, good management is all about mobilizing the available resources in the best possible way to achieve the set targets. This is something that I have learned in my more than a decade-long professional career in the media and banking sector.
At Nepal Life Insurance, I have been assigned to handle the department of Communication and Branding for the last 1.5 years. My primary duty is to properly manage the conceptualization and execution of media advertisements/campaigns of various insurance policies/products of the company. Such management has to be done by following certain steps. Whenever a company comes up with any new policy/product, its brief is developed for the advertising purpose in the first step.
In the second step, the product brief is communicated to the concerned advertising agency to develop an effective media campaign with a specific message. Then, in the third step, a proper media vehicle-be it print, television, radio or social site- is selected to disseminate such campaign to the target group.
In fact, we adopt a 360-degree branding campaign in which all the promotional devices (online, offline, and mobile) are used in an effective way to communicate the specified message. It’s all about creating a distinctive brand philosophy which is centered on consumers.
