Saptari, September 2 : Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has said that the government will soon do away with the system that requires the people to pay tax in multiple points.
“Instead of a single point, there are a number of points for collecting tax revenues from general people. So, the government is planning to eradicate this taxation through proper coordination among the federal, provincial and local governments,” he said while speaking at a program held at Rajbiraj in Saptari on September 3.
According to him, increasing tax areas rather than tax rate is a viable way to expedite the socio-economic development of the country.
Minister Khatiwada also stated that the public should be aware about the taxation system while the people’s representatives need to leverage the tax paid by their public in the best possible manner.
