May 26 : Prime Minister KP Oli has said that the government will provide employment opportunities to those Nepali people losing jobs either in their own country or in foreign lands due to the COVID-19 crisis.In his televised national address yesterday, he aired such remarks.
“A large number of the Nepali citizens both inside and outside the country have been rendered jobless because of the coronavirus lockdown. In this regard, the government is coming up with skill development programs to facilitate them to earn the livelihoods in various sectors like agriculture, construction, service and small and medium enterprise (SME),” he said adding,”Similarly, all the three layers of government-local, federal and central- will make collaborative efforts to launch development programs to engage them.”
PM Oli also made it a point to state that the Employment Service Center under the Prime Minister Employment Program will also act a labour bank to list all those Nepali employees losing jobs due to the current adverse circumstances and assist them to again enjoy employment opportunities.
