The European Union has announced grant support of about 32 billion rupees (240 million euros) to Nepal.
Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini informed that the association has announced the grant to Nepal for green recovery through the ‘Team Europe Initiative’.
Secretary Marasini thanked EU Deputy Managing Director Paola Pampaloni for that via Twitter.
Marasini said the assistance would help implement Nepal’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2045 at COP 26, a conference on climate change recently held in Glasgow, Scotland.
