The secretary-level joint meeting of Nepal-Bangladesh Water Resources Committee has started in Kathmandu.
After almost 15 years, joint secretary-level meeting of Nepal-Bangladesh water resources committee was held between Nepal and Bangladesh.
The previous meeting was held from February 26 to 29, 2008. It is said that the main agenda related to the use of water resources and flood control will be discussed in the two-day meeting.
The meeting was led by Sagar Rai, Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation on behalf of Nepal and Kabir Bin Anwar, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources on behalf of Bangladesh.
It is said that the issue of climate change and the exchange of data related to water and weather will also be discussed in the meeting.
