June 1 : Total number of COVID-19 cases in Neal has reached 1,567 after the confirmation of 166 new such cases in the last two days, according to the Ministry of Health and Population said.
Among the latest cases, 64 were confirmed at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory, 37 were at a lab at the Karnali Academy of Health and 26 at the Surkhet-based provincial lab.
Similarly, 12 COVID-19 patients were recorded at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, 8 at Bheri Hospital, five at the Narayan Hospital in Birgunj and three at the Gandaki Province Lab in Pokhara.
So far, Nepal has seen 220 recoveries and 8 fatalities from coronavirus. Similarly, at present, there are 119,192 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country while 1,176 persons are in isolation.
