Kathmandu, December 30 : The Executive Committee of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has decided to add the number of beneficiaries by 7,494 in different districts. The Committee’s recent meetings took such decision confirming the new beneficiaries following the analysis of reexamination and missed survey, 2075 and records collection of this year.
According to the NRA, a total of 3,076 would be the beneficiaries for retrofitting. Likewise, nearly 53,000 complaints were confirmed as non-beneficiaries. Committee’s meeting held on second week of December had confirmed 4,644 as the beneficiaries, including 2,609 for retrofitting, for their losses incurred during the Gorkha Earthquake, 2015.
NRA’s joint spokesperson Manohar Ghimire said that final decision on 113,043 complaints was taken in regard to the reassessment of the beneficiaries out of 189,000 complaints. NRA’s engineers are taking stock of the remaining complaints, he added. The beneficiaries would receive Rs 50,000 in grant immediately from the concerned ward after an agreement. RSS
