Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Sunday hiked the prices of petroleum products including, diesel and kerosene by Rs 10 per liter and liquefied petroleum (LP) gas by a whopping Rs 200 per cylinder.
With the fresh hike in petroleum prices, petrol will cost Rs 180 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will retail at Rs 163 per liter each. Similarly, LP gas will cost Rs 1,800 per cylinder (14.2 kg).
The NOC has also raised the price of aviation turbine fuel to Rs 166 per liter (for domestic airlines) and USD 1545 per kiloliter.
The new rates will come into effect from Sunday midnight.
“Even after the fresh adjustment, the NOC still suffers a monthly loss of Rs 1 billion,” the NOC said in the statement.
