Kathmandu, July 12 : 70 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed on Saturday (July 11), thus taking the total number of such cases the country to 16,719.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 16 individuals contracted the disease in the Gandaki State, 14 individuals in the Bagmati State, 13 individuals in the State No. 1, 10 people in State No. 5, seven people in the Karnali State and five people each in the State No. 2 and the Sudur Paschim State.
Similarly, altogether 431 infected individuals were discharged from the hospitals yesterday across the country. So far, 50.5 per cent of the infected have been discharged after the successful treatment.
The number of people in the quarantine facilities is currently 24,097 while 8,239 people are in isolation. According to the ministry, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Manang and Humla havenow no active infected cases.
