Govt decides to establish eight industrial villages

The government has announced eight industrial villages across the country. As per government decision, the places to have the industrial village are Mandandeupur-6, Bethanchowk-2, Likhu-4, Raghuganga-2, Tatopani-4, Ribdikot-3, Ruruchhetra-4, and Apihimal-4.

While publicizing the decision made by the Thursday’s cabinet meeting at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma that the terms of references to be followed while establishing the industrial villages and investment company would be published in Nepal gazette.

The first amendment bill on the Constitutional Council, 2079 will be retracted and a relief amount will be provided to the farmers who destroyed chicken after bird flu infection as per legal measures during the fiscal year 2078/79, according to Sharma.

The government also determined the public holidays for the year 2080 BS.

Spokesperson Sharma further informed that the government permitted the delegation led by Foreign Minister to attend the 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council being held in Geneva from February 27 to 30.

The government also allowed the use of lands for construction of health centers and basic hospitals in different districts of the country, according to Minister Sharma.

Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Keshav Kumar Sharma, will be allowed to attend a programme relating to transport management in Washington DC, USA from March 12 to 18.

Engineer Dr Padam Bahadur Shahi has been appointed the Chairman of Nepal Engineering Council, while engineer Dr Bikash Adhikari the Vice Chairman and engineer Dr Reshma Shrestha the member.

The Cabinet further decided to permit Minister for Health and Population, Padam Giri, to attend a conference relating to patients’ safety being held in Switzerland from February 23-24.
