According to Basu Dev Wasti, Head of the Foreign Study Permit Branch at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, a total of 79,309 people have received permits for abroad study from July, 2022 to March, 2023.

The Foreign Study Permit Branch has started providing NOC on the next day of applying online. On Thursday, 529 applications were accepted out of 609 online applications. 500 applicants whose applications have been approved will receive NOC letters on Friday.

According to the Branch, an average of 600 people are applying for foreign study permits every day in order to study in different countries. Wasti said that it is now making service delivery easier and faster.

The Branch has claimed that the number of people standing in queues has decreased since they started informing the concerned students about the time to apply online and get NOC.

Wasti further said that they are trying as much as possible to provide easy service to the students who come to get NOC. “Free Wi-Fi service will be provided for the convenience of customers,” he said.

“We are trying to make it easy for the students. With the hard work of our friends, we have now succeeded in filing the application on the same day and issuing the NOC on the next day. Now we are trying to make it more convenient by providing a free Wi-Fi facility,” he said.
