As a part of its expansion plan, Thai Airways is set to increase the fresume its flights to Nepal within a month and a half. Making a comeback after a three-year hiatus, the airline plans to increase its flight frequency to Nepal.
Society International, the official General Sales Agent of Thai Airways for Nepal, has sought permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to augment the number of flights. Gyanendra Bhul, the information officer at CAAN, disclosed that there is a proposal for two daily flights.
“Thai Airways has submitted a proposal to operate two daily flights starting next Friday,” Bhul stated. “We are still in the process of reviewing, and the permission has yet to be decided.”
Presently, the airline operates one daily flight, transitioning from wide-body aircraft pre-COVID-19 to narrow-body series aircraft. Society International attributes the decision to increase the number of flights to the growing demand from passengers.
