Addressing the 58th annual general assembly meeting and Industry Commerce Day, 2080, of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FNCCI), in Kathmandu on Wednesday, PM Dahal said that the government is committed to making the healthy and sound regulation of the financial system a top priority and creating a conducive environment where a private sector can work on high morale.

Appealing to all the organizations of the private sector and representatives to move forward with high spirit, the PM said, “There is a need for strong unity between government and private sector to address the interest and demand shown by all.”

Mentioning that the private sector has been playing a major role in creating employment and investment, along with increasing production, the PM said that all tiers of government have been coordinating with the private sector in formulating planning and policies.

Saying that the government is focused on upgrading from an underdeveloped country in 2026 and achieving the goal of sustainability by 2030, PM said that there is a need to expand investment from both the private and government sectors to achieve the set goals.

PM said, “There are a lot of hurdles and limitations in our policies, laws, structure, and working style to create an investment-friendly environment in the country. The preparations are being made to bring ordinance if necessary by amending acts that are deemed unfavourable for investment to introduce simplified policies and procedures for investment,”.
