Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia are set to resume operations from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa, Nepal, starting February 3, 2025. Thai AirAsia has introduced a special promotional fare of NPR 12,990 for one-way tickets on the Bhairahawa–Bangkok route, with bookings open until January 26, 2025, and travel valid from February 3 to March 29, 2025.
Currently, Nepal Airlines and Flydubai are operating flights from GBIA. In addition, Himalaya Airlines is planning to launch Pokhara–Lhasa flights from the new Pokhara Regional International Airport. The resumption of Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia flights is expected to boost international connectivity, benefiting Nepal’s tourism industry and economy.
