International flights have commenced from Lhasa, China, to Pokhara International Airport.
A Himalaya Airlines aircraft carrying 107 passengers landed at Pokhara International Airport on Monday.
According to the Pokhara Airport Office, the flight carried 32 Chinese and 75 Nepali passengers. They were welcomed by Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Pandey and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.
Himalaya Airlines has become the first airline to operate regular international flights to Pokhara. The airline will conduct one scheduled flight per week on the Pokhara–Lhasa route.
As per the airport office, the aircraft will depart for Lhasa only on Tuesday.
