The price of gold in the Nepali market has surged sharply by Rs 5,000 per tola (11.66 grams), driven by a significant rise in the international market. As of today, the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has set the price of gold at Rs 189,800 per tola.
Silver prices have also seen an uptick, rising by Rs 50 per tola to reach Rs 1,990.
This marks a notable jump after gold prices remained stable for the past three days. According to international media reports, gold is currently trading at USD 3,321 per ounce in the global market.
The surge is attributed to increased investor demand for safe-haven assets amid global economic uncertainties.
