In the same period, the government’s total revenue mobilization, including transfers to provincial and local governments, stood at Rs 922.43 billion. This included Rs 828.94 billion in tax revenue and Rs 93.49 billion in non-tax revenue.

The cash balance maintained in various accounts of the Government of Nepal with the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), including those of provincial and local governments, stood at Rs 360.98 billion in mid-May 2025. This marks a significant increase from the Rs 93.96 billion recorded in mid-July 2024.

At the provincial level, total expenditure during the ten-month period amounted to Rs 100.17 billion, while total resource mobilization reached Rs 161.77 billion. This included Rs 123.15 billion in grants and revenue transferred from the federal government and Rs 38.62 billion from provincial revenue and other receipts.

The data reflect the scale of public spending and ongoing efforts to enhance revenue generation, though capital expenditure continues to lag behind planned levels.
