Since last Tuesday, the price of gold in the international market has been continuously rising. Compared to Thursday, the local market today has seen an increase of NPR 4,200 per tola (11.66 grams) in the price of gold, while silver has risen by NPR 15.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold today has reached NPR 197,100 per tola, whereas silver is being traded at NPR 2,165 per tola.
Last Tuesday, gold was traded at NPR 190,000 per tola, and silver was at NPR 2,150 for the same quantity.
International news outlets have reported that gold is currently being traded at USD 3,427 per ounce in the global market.
