The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has blacklisted four construction companies.
In a notice issued today, the PPMO stated that it had blacklisted the companies based on formal recommendations received from various government agencies. The companies were found to have failed to complete their assigned projects within the stipulated time, a violation of Section 63(1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2063.
As per the decision, the blacklisted companies are barred from participating in any procurement processes for one year. During this period, they will be ineligible to bid for or be awarded government contracts.
