Nepal Telecom has approved the distribution of cash dividends to its shareholders from the profits of fiscal year 2024/25. The decision was made at the company’s 18th Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, where shareholders were approved to receive Rs 30 per share as cash dividend.
Board Chairperson and Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Radhika Aryal, said the company may consider issuing bonus shares in the future, citing the upcoming implementation of the MEGA project and the need to strengthen capital.
For the fiscal year, Nepal Telecom recorded total revenue of Rs 3.819 billion and a net profit of Rs 600 million. The company also continued its corporate social responsibility initiatives, contributing to sectors such as environmental protection, health, education, and sports.
Chairperson Aryal noted that with rising demand for data services, Nepal Telecom will prioritize improving service quality, ensuring cost efficiency, and expanding its strategic market presence.
