On the occasion of Safer Internet Day 2082, Ncell Foundation and Nasa Securities jointly launched the nationwide “Safer Internet Together (SIT)” program on Tuesday.
The social campaign aims to reach schools across the country to educate students about various aspects of cyber security, data privacy, and digital safety. It is expected to benefit more than 50,000 students, teachers, and community members.
Currently introduced as a pilot project, the program will conduct cyber awareness sessions for students from grades 3 to 12 in government, community, and private schools across Bagmati, Gandaki, and Madhesh provinces.
An internet safety handbook has also been developed and will be distributed to participating students after the sessions. Following successful implementation in these three provinces, there are plans to expand the campaign to other provinces in the next fiscal year.
