“Nepal-China relations have proceeded further in a right track and constant manner. The relations have been bettered in multidimensional aspects after Nepal’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Ambassador Paudyal said so while releasing an anthology of poems titled ‘Sahar Binako Sahar’ of Damodar Pudasainee in Beijing on Tuesday (April 3).

Saying that literature is a mirror of society, Paudyal viewed that language and literature are the pillars for a sovereign nation and every citizen has the responsibility to preserve and promote language and literature. On the occasion, he said that Nepal’s Ranjana script was found in different historical sites of China and added that the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing has kept those properties in the archives.

Paudyal further said Nepal and China have worked together in translating different books from Chinese into Nepali and vice versa adding that such works would help exchange cultures and understand societies of both the countries. In the recent times, Nepal-China cultural and academic relations have steadily promoted and more exchanges of visits are in the place.

Likewise, Nepali dictionaries published by Nepal Academy are kept in different libraries of Chinese Universities along with partnership establishment between Academy and Chinese publications houses.

On the occasion, poet Pudasainee said that his pomes carry local flavour from Mithila society. Pudasainee, who is also the Assistant Auditor General, at the Office of the Auditor General of Nepal claimed that his poets are free from any of the biases and prejudices. During the programme, Deputy Chief of Mission of Nepal Embassy Sushil Kumar Lamsal and literary figure Shankar Bharati praised the poetic sense and aesthetics in Pudasainee’s writing. The anthology is published from the Sajha Publications.
