AAN president Somprasad Dhital demanded that the one-door policy in advertising should be corrected. President Dhital alleged that instead of solving major issues in the country when the country is economically weak, it is being brought to please certain individuals and interest groups.

Likewise, the outgoing president of AAN, Ravindra Kumar Rijal (Shashi), said that when Nepal has entered into an open market economy, no one should be allowed to curb the business activities carried out independently. He accused the democratic government of trying to implement the one-door policy in advertisement as a mockery of democracy.

AAN demonstrated with placards that said, abolish one-door in government advertisement, maintain the rate of media, advertisement board is not an arena for distribution of advertisement, implement transparency in advertisement, implement advertisement code of conduct, ensure union representation on advertisement board, among others.
