According to the Controller of Treasury and Accounts Control Office, Mukti Prasad Chapagain, capital spending of Rs 542.12 million has been made through the federal government budget as of mid-December 2021. The federal government had appropriated around Rs 9 billion 252 million in the district for the fiscal current fiscal year.

Of the appropriated capital budget, the spending has accounted for 5.85 percent. Among the total appropriated budget of Rs 10 billion 687 million for the current fiscal year, only Rs 848.4 million has been spent, Chapagain shared. Chapagain said that it appeared to be low in the initial time as it took almost two months to complete the process from plan selection to bidding.

The spending would go up only after mid-February, he added. Among the higher capital spending authorities are rapid urban development and building construction project, federal drinking water and drainage management project, Narayani River management project and Road Division Bharatpur.
