The price of gold has continued to rise in the Nepali market today. After increasing by Rs 8,100 per tola on Tuesday, the price went up by an additional Rs 400 per tola on Wednesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold has now reached Rs 248,900 per tola, marking the highest level in history.
On Monday, the price of gold stood at Rs 248,500 per tola. Earlier, on Monday of last week, gold had increased by Rs 3,000 per tola, while on Sunday, it rose by Rs 2,400 per tola.
Previously, on Mangsir 10 (November 25, 2024), the price of gold had dropped sharply by Rs 15,900 per tola in a single day after the government reduced the customs duty on gold imports. However, prices have since surged again, reaching record highs.
Similarly, the price of silver has also risen. Silver prices increased by Rs 15 per tola, reaching Rs 3,340 per tola, which is also the highest level ever recorded.
