The price of gold, which has been steadily increasing for the past four days, has reached a new record high today.
Per tola, gold rose by Rs 2,600, reaching Rs 238,000 — the highest price ever recorded in Nepal’s history.
Yesterday, the price of gold stood at Rs 235,400 per tola.
Since Sunday, gold prices have been rising continuously, setting new record highs each day. On Sunday alone, the price increased by Rs 7,000 per tola, followed by an additional Rs 2,500 rise on Monday and Rs 2,300 on Tuesday.
The new price update was made public today, the first since October 19 (Ashoj 19) after the previous revision on October 12 (Ashoj 12).
Meanwhile, the price of silver has declined by Rs 5 per tola.
On Monday, silver was priced at Rs 2,960 per tola, but today it has fallen to Rs 2,955 per tola.
