The rise in gold prices in the international market has also impacted the local market, with the price of the yellow metal increasing continuously for the past four days.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold was traded at NPR 177,900 per tola on Monday, but it surged by NPR 1,800 today, reaching NPR 179,700 per tola.
However, the price of silver remains unchanged, with the rate fixed at NPR 2,035 per tola for the day.
In the international market, gold is currently trading at USD 3,140 per ounce.
The continuous rise in gold prices is attributed to the strengthening of the US dollar, domestic market demand, and other economic factors, pushing prices higher each day.
