July 17 : Finance Minister and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada has said that both the policy and action of the government will be transparent. Unveiling the integrated action plan of the annual programme implementation and policies and programmes for the fiscal year, 2020/21 amid a function here on Thursday (July 16), he said so.

Bureaucracy and civil servants are the main pillars in implementing government’s policies and programmes and they shall do so in line with the prevailing laws and rules, according to him.

Minister Khatiwada also directed the civil servants to display ethical behaviors by ignoring the wrong advice or direction given by any political leadership.

Stressing the need for making the Communications Ministry more effective, he said, “It (the ministry) needs competent human resources and sound infrastructure to keep up with the rapid changes in the communications and information technology in the 21st century.”
