Nepal bags award in international tourism fair

Kathmandu, February 5 : Nepal has bagged “The Most Cooperative Stand of EMITT 2019” award in the 23rd edition of East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), held at Istanbul, Turkey between 31 January to 3 February 2019.  The country received such award Nepal for showcasing the tourism products that serve the need of Turkish visitors.

At the EMITT, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) made its presence in destination marketing workshops and B2B networking sessions so as to make the participation more effective in terms of establishing the business contacts with the outbound sellers

According to the press release issued by the NTB, it is putting its all efforts to tap the potential of the Turkish tourism market. It is said that Turkey has been emerging as a good source markets for many Asian destinations in recent years.

” The NTB is eyeing for emerging destinations and Turkey has been added to this list. Nepal will look for more new source markets expanding its presence  with good marketing strategies On the eve of Visit Nepal Year 2020,” the release quoted  Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board as saying.
