Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited tenders for printing 230 million pieces of Rs 500-denomination banknotes. The central bank’s Currency Management Department issued a notice calling for bids from eligible note printing companies.
Interested companies must submit their bids by March 12, 2025, through an international competitive bidding process following the Single Stage, Two Envelope Bidding Procedure.
NRB has specified that technical and financial proposals must be sealed separately. Tenders can be obtained from the Currency Management Department in Thapathali or Babarmahal. However, blacklisted or legally disqualified companies will not be eligible to participate in the bidding process.
