The ongoing conflict in West Asia has prompted a growing number of Nepali nationals to return home.
According to records from the Department of Immigration, the total number of returnees was determined based on forms submitted by individuals seeking to leave the region due to rising tensions. Among them, 2,293 people have returned, including 209 women and 2,084 men.
The majority of returnees came from Qatar, accounting for 1,092 individuals, followed by 971 from Saudi Arabia and 121 from Oman.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that concerns over personal safety and job security have driven many Nepalis to leave. After enduring 23 consecutive days of stress amid the ongoing conflict, a significant number have chosen to return to Nepal.
