On Thursday, the last trading day of the week, the stock market saw a notable increase. The NEPSE index rose by 41.43 points, reaching 2,663.30 points.
A total of 97,72,196 shares from 309 stocks were traded 55,442 times on Thursday, amounting to a total transaction value of NPR 5.22 billion.
The Sensitive Index increased by 5.60 points, while the Float Index rose by 2.43 points, and the Sensitive Float Index grew by 1.96 points.
The share price of Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by NPR 268.29, closing at NPR 2,951.40. Similarly, the share price of Srijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by approximately 10%, and that of Support Microfinance Financial Institution rose by 8%.
Himalayan Reinsurance topped the list in terms of transaction value, with shares worth NPR 511.8 million traded. Nepal Reinsurance Company recorded over NPR 270 million in transactions, while NRN Infrastructure and Development traded shares worth approximately NPR 250 million.
All 13 sub-indices recorded gains on Thursday. Among them, the trading sub-index saw the highest growth of 6.09%. The investment and microfinance sub-indices increased by over 2%, while the development bank, finance, hydropower, life insurance, and other sub-indices grew by more than 1%.
A total of 227 companies saw an increase in their stock prices, while 16 companies experienced a decline in their trading value.
