Kathmandu, January 1: One hundred and three Nepali workers lost their lives due to various reasons in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the last year 2018.
Of them, eights were women and 95 were men, according to the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Three women and 44 men died from natural causes, three women and 30 men committed suicide while two women and 21 men lost their lives in road accident.
Of the deceased, the bodies of Surya BK, Amrit Bahadur Karki, Srijana Baral and Ashok Bhattarai are still to be sent to Nepal and investigation was underway to find out the cause behind their death, according to the Embassy.
