Kathmandu, November 19 : The 16th International Handicraft Trade Fair organised by Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal from November 14 concluded on Sunday with a transaction worth Rs 90 million.
Federation member Prachanda Shakya said that 135,000 people visited the fair. A total of 170 stalls were kept in the fair, where gold, silver ornaments, woolen clothes, pashmina, leather products, herbs were put on display and sale.
Similarly, Chuna Banstola, Deumaya Limbu and Gyanimaya Tamang secured first, second and third position respectively towards ‘Dhaka knitting’ category under the 14th Handicraft Competition. A total of 13 people from different districts had participated in the Competition.
Manoj Shakya, Udip Shakya and Nishesh Shakya stood first, second and third respectively towards ‘Wax’s idol’.
The first, second and third winners of both category received Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, along with a certificate. RSS
