Kathmandu, October 4 : A total of 2,253 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country on Sunday. Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwar Gautam in a regular press briefing at the Ministry today said that the new cases were identified while conducting RT PCR test on 12,784 individuals.
According to Gautam, the total number of people contracting the disease currently stands at 22,219 in the country. Of them, 10,326 are in institutional isolation centres while 11,893 are in home isolations.
Dr Gautam further shared that the number of total recovery from the virus has reached 64,069 till now Similarly, seven persons died of it today, thus pushing the number of such fatalities to 535.
