The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petroleum products, effective from midnight. The price of petrol has increased by Rs 1 per liter. The new prices are Rs 157.50 per liter in the first category areas, Rs 159 in the second category areas, and Rs 160 per liter in the third category areas. The first category includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The second category includes Surkhet and Dang, while the third category includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
Additionally, the price of aviation fuel has increased by US$ 15 per kiloliter on the international market, resulting in a domestic price increase of Rs 2 per liter. Although the price of cooking LP gas has risen by Rs 14.49 per cylinder, the NOC has decided to keep the price unchanged for the time being to protect consumers’ interests.
