Kathmandu, June 14 : 425 more cases of COVID-19 has been reported today, thus taking the total number of such cases in the country to 5,760. Of the newly infected, 375 are males while 50 are female, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Similarly, with 61 more patients (55 males and six females) contracting coronavirus discharged today, the total number of recovery cases related to it reached 974.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll also rose to 19 on Sunday as a 36-year-old patient from Dhurkot Rural Municipality-4 in the Gulmi district doed of this viral infection yesterday.
The ministry sources inform that with the detection of the first Covid-19 case in Rukum (West), people from 73 districts have now been infected with the virus. Manang, Mustang, Okhaldhunga and Rasuwa have not witnessed any such cases so far.
So far, 133,377 polymerase chain reaction tests and 210,721 rapid diagnostic tests are said have been carried out across the country.
