May 24 : As many as 68 new COVID-19 cases have been reported on Saturday (May 23), thus taking the total number of such cases in Nepal to 548.
Of the newly infected, 64 are males with the age ranging from 17 to 55 years and the remaining four are females aged between 27 and 37. They belong to 10 different districts-Kathmandu, Chitwan, Kapilvastu, Bardiya, Surkhet, Banke, Baitadi, Jhapa, Bara and Rupandehi.
Similarly, their swab samples were tested at Seti Hospital in Dhangadhi, Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar, and Rapti Academy of Health Sciences in Dang National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Kathmandu, Provincial lab in Bhairawaha and, COVID-19 lab in Bharatpur respectively.
The country has so far witnessed three fatalities and 70 recoveries related to coronvirus.
