Mirzapur season 2 is an action crime thriller web series that got released on Amazon Prime Video on 23rd October 2020. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi and Rashika Duggal, it is produced by Excel Entertainment, written by Puneet Krishna and Vineet Krishna and directed by Gurmeet Singh and Mihir Desai.

Most of shots of the series are from Mirzapur, with some of them from Jaunpur, Ajamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur.

Both season 1 and 2 revolves around all sorts of criminal activities like selling and smuggling of drugs, guns and murders in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It depicts the putrescence, governance, rule of mafia dons, their rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.

Season 2 meets the standards of its first season. The first season could connect to the masses and gave the many iconic scenes and dialogues and the new season doesn’t disappoint either. There are no unwanted scenes, characters andmoments in the series and connects each scene to each other. Every episodes were really good and the dialogues were also stupendous as the story moves forward it grips the vibe and becomes very entertaining.

It kicks starts with violence that instantly grabs your attention during the first few episodes. The makers continue the story from where its first season had ended, adding more shock value to this already grim revenge saga. The performances are outstanding and all the characters have given their best. They have introduced new characters that only add to the value of the story. Divyendu Sharma as Munna Tripathi shines the most. At last, I would like to say that it is good as its first season and makes you thrilled. The Mirzapur fans will definitely enjoy it. It becomes slightly lengthy after the 5th episode but I don’t mind it. The overall series is a good watch and a great time pass.
