Kashiram Ghimire, Information Officer of HIA Management Office, informed that 117 industries were operating in the industrial area that spreads over 3,228 ropanis.

According to him, South Asian Brewery, Nebico Pvt. Ltd., T.S.N. Plastcare, Makalu Dairy Industry, Radha Krishna Synthetic, Lakshmi Paints, Dream Paints Nepal, Radhe Radhe Engineering Workshop, Precious Waste Refinery, BHP Manufacturing, Fabulous Manufacturing, and Himalaya Polymers are under construction. According to the office, Invoroplant Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and Nepal Brewery Pvt. Ltd. are closed.

The Office has canceled the contract with four industries that had agreed to operate the industry in the HIA. In the last fiscal year 2023/24, the office had canceled the contract maintaining that those industries which had entered contract to operate the industry failed to construct the necessary infrastructure and operate the industry.

According to Sangita Kunwar, Acting Manager of the HIA Management Office, the industries that got their agreement canceled are Lakshmi Paints Industry, Nath Foods Industries Pvt. Ltd., B.Y.S, Hetauda Pvt. Ltd. and Sunrise Containers Pvt. Ltd.

Sunrise had proposed to produce various plastic goods, Nath Foods biscuits and bakery, Lakshmi Paints wall putty, paints and BYS Hetaunda aimed to manufacture various types of tools such as flat, angle file and combination pliers.

He said that those industries had agreed to operate the industry but did not operate the plant even after building the infrastructure for a long time and the agreement was canceled because they only occupied the land.

As per the rule, construction work for the necessary structure should be started within six months of the agreement and the industry should be put into operation within two years.
