The grand festival of Dashain has arrived, bringing joy to homes across the nation, and the melodies of Dashain are filling the air in both villages and cities.
In this festive spirit, lyricist Nirmal Raj Paudel has released a new Dashain song titled “Bada Dashain, Harshko Aagaman.”
The track features vocals from Paudel, along with contributions from composer Mohit Munal, singer Samanta Thapa, and Manish Paudel. The music video, produced by Welcome AV Productions, is directed by Manish Paudel and choreographed by Deepika Thapa. It showcases performances by actors Gopal Dhakal “Chhande,” Navaraj Karki, and other members of the Welcome family.
Paudel expressed, “Around ten to fifteen years ago, the festive atmosphere and joy of Dashain were quite evident, but nowadays, it feels like it has gradually faded away. That’s why we’ve created this song—to help our children learn about and experience the essence of the songs, music, and traditions from our time.”
The song beautifully captures the joyful ways Nepalis celebrate Dashain while highlighting economic, social, and familial themes.
Previously, Paudel released a popular song for the Teej festival, further showcasing his dedication to preserving cultural traditions through music.
