Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel highlighted that the increase in revenue collection compared to previous periods is a positive sign and expressed commitment to focusing on achieving the target.
Finance Ministry spokesperson Mahesh Bhattarai stated that despite challenges such as floods and landslides in Ashoj (mid-September to mid-October), reduced petroleum imports, the impact on the import of petroleum-driven vehicles, increased import of electric vehicles, effects on the telecommunications sector, and reduced imports and demand, the first six months of the current fiscal year saw notable revenue collection.
