By the end of Poush (mid-January) of the previous fiscal year, NPR 496 billion in revenue had been collected. The target for the current fiscal year is to collect NPR 1.419 trillion in revenue. As of the end of Poush, total revenue, including various sources, amounted to NPR 567 billion, which is 40% of the annual target.

The revenue collection target for the first six months of the current fiscal year was NPR 672 billion, but the actual collection reached 84% of the target. In Poush alone, NPR 160 billion in revenue was collected.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel highlighted that the increase in revenue collection compared to previous periods is a positive sign and expressed commitment to focusing on achieving the target.

Finance Ministry spokesperson Mahesh Bhattarai stated that despite challenges such as floods and landslides in Ashoj (mid-September to mid-October), reduced petroleum imports, the impact on the import of petroleum-driven vehicles, increased import of electric vehicles, effects on the telecommunications sector, and reduced imports and demand, the first six months of the current fiscal year saw notable revenue collection.
