More than 12.94 million passengers traveled through Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the Nepali year 2081 BS, according to data released by the airport office. The figure includes both domestic and international travelers.
The busiest month was Kartik (mid-October to mid-November), when 1.28 million passengers used TIA services. The surge in travel was attributed to the tourist season and major festivals, during which the airport handled 3,281 international and 12,114 domestic flight movements.
Of the total annual passengers, 4.93 million traveled on international flights with 35,389 flight movements, while 5.36 million used domestic flights, which saw 112,708 flight movements.
