Narayan Dutta Bhatta expressed satisfaction with the breadth of the policies and programmes, stating that they covered all key aspects. Rajendra Laxmi Gaire praised the government’s pledge to provide access to clean drinking water for all citizens within the upcoming fiscal year. Rukmini Koirala welcomed the focus on eliminating violence against women and the plans to raise international awareness about the effects of climate change on vulnerable communities, particularly in mountainous regions.

However, Jhakku Prasad Subedi criticized the policies for lacking strategies to achieve a socialism-oriented socio-economic transformation. He argued that the programmes fail to address the core aspirations of Nepali citizens. Narayan Dutta Mishra stressed the need for economic growth and anti-corruption efforts, while also urging the government to guarantee fair pricing for farmers’ produce. Radheshyam Paswan called for efficient implementation of the proposed initiatives in agriculture, health, tourism, water supply, and youth development.

Bishnudevi Pudasaini endorsed the government’s focus on promoting entrepreneurship, increasing employment opportunities, enhancing agricultural productivity, and improving education quality. She noted that the policies provided clarity in coordinating actions across federal, provincial, and local governments.

Several other lawmakers, including Renu Chand, Bishnu Kumari Sapkota, Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Maya Prasad Sharma, and Tulasa Kumari Dahal, also participated in the debate and voiced their opinions on the policy framework.

As the deliberations continue, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal informed members that the next session will be held on Tuesday at 12:15 pm to further discuss the proposed policies and programmes.
