The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has instructed casino operators to obtain official approval before conducting any foreign exchange transactions.
In a notice issued on Friday, the central bank stated that casinos and similar institutions must acquire a license from NRB to engage in foreign currency dealings.
Referring to Section 4 of the Foreign Exchange Transaction License and Inspection Regulations, 2077, the NRB clarified that casinos must also seek approval to handle Indian currency transactions.
