The Export Entrepreneurs’ Federation has drawn the attention of Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal to the suspension of export subsidies.
A delegation led by the federation’s president, Govinda Prasad Ghimire, met Minister Khanal today and raised concerns about the halted subsidy as well as other challenges facing the export sector.
Ghimire stated that the federation requested the minister to resolve issues related to the suspension of export subsidies, technical and administrative obstacles, and policy-level problems affecting export promotion.
In response, Minister Khanal expressed his commitment to initiating the necessary processes to address the problems in the export sector. He assured that the government is positively considering the concerns raised by industries and traders.
Former MP Ganesh Parajuli, FNCCI Export Committee Chair Naresh Lal Shrestha, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Handicraft Associations Rajman Bajracharya, Vice-President of the Federation of Small and Cottage Industries Shanta Baskota Koirala, and Vice-President of the Export Entrepreneurs’ Federation Kiran Dangol were also present during the meeting.
