The decision was made during a meeting of the Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee held at the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, where officials from various departments presented updates on ongoing efforts to curb revenue leakage.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Home Minister Sudan Gurung instructed authorities to strictly enforce measures aimed at preventing revenue losses.

According to Finance Ministry spokesperson and Joint Secretary Tanka Prasad Pandey, the ministers also directed agencies to enhance surveillance along border areas and intensify market monitoring.

They stressed the need to strengthen oversight both at and beyond border points to effectively tackle revenue leakage. The meeting also decided to form a task force with a concrete action plan to help achieve revenue targets, with progress to be reviewed in the next session.

The decisions made during the meeting will be forwarded to the concerned agencies for implementation. The meeting was attended by the finance and home ministers, heads of relevant departments, and chiefs of all three security agencies.
